Netflix has just released the official teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated two-part season three of The Witcher, exciting fans of the show.
The teaser trailer offers fans a glimpse of Henry Cavill’s final performance as Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf who appears to be experiencing real fear this time around. As the ominous trailer unfolds, Ciri and Yennifer are left with more to worry about as greater mysteries and unexpected encounters are hinted at.
While season three promises to be an intense and thrilling ride, it is bittersweet for fans as it also marks the end of Cavill’s run as the titular character. Revealed in a recent news update just last year, Liam Hemsworth is set to take Cavill’s place in season four. The synopsis for the upcoming season reads, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”
