The Skywalker Saga’s Episode VI will receive a theatrical re-release, it was revealed at this year’s Star Wars Celebrations in the UK. According to the BBC, Star Wars artist Matt Ferguson disclosed a new poster to mark the debut of the film.
“I can’t think of a more exciting time in my career than that weekend because I was there and part of it and they said my name – ‘poster by Matt Ferguson’. There’s lots of pressure because of expectations from fans and my standards, but also it’s really fun because I’ve loved Star Wars my entire life. “I’m a fan first. That’s how I got started – doing artwork based on the things I like. It’s almost unreal.”
On May 25, 1983, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was initially released, and on its domestic debut, it brought in over $23 million. One of the many showings of this movie was the 2023 re-release. The first was in 1985, and throughout its brief existence, it made about $11 million. To mention a few, it also had a limited re-release in the past in 2022 and 2020. In 1997, a special screening was held for the publication of the special edition.
