In an announcement that Streaming giant Netflix has announced on Saturday has sent fans into a frenzy, the highly anticipated ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 revealed four new cast members for the upcoming season.

With a new wave of rip-roaring action, the South Korean hit is back with its intense survival challenges. With new cast members and enticing spoilers, viewers are eagerly awaiting the chance to immerse themselves once again in this dark world.

Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo return to the South Korean survival drama series, while Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-guen join the cast as newcomers.

The stream-fanatic @kdramatreats got the attention of more than 8k people on his tweet where he unveiled the whole cast in the survival game:

One of Netflix’s most-watched series, about a deadly competition with a multimillion dollar prize, drew 1.65 billion hours of viewing in only 28 days.

The second season is expected to drop in 2024.

Moreover, taking home a set of six Emmy awards in 2022 is no joke, Squid Game swept the Emmy Awards with 14 nominations and six wins, including Lee Jung-jae’s Best Actor in a Drama honor.

Its success has been so tremendous that a spinoff series, Squid Games: The Challenge, will hit Netflix in November.

Despite its popularity, the reality competition show has already been surrounded by controversies, with reports of “war zone”-like and freezing conditions in the game, apparently sent its real-life participants in hospitals.
