While the late, great Kevin Conroy will probably never be exceeded as the voice of Batman in his animated and video game aspects. Someone will need to step into the departed voice actor’s shoes at long last, and a name has finally come to light Jensen Ackles as Batman.
The actor selected to play our advanced animated Bruce Wayne for the time limit is none other than Supernatural star Jensen Ackles, according to the cast list for the upcoming DC animated feature Justice League: Warworld, which was made public by THR. Stana Katic as Wonder Woman and Darren Criss as Superman will appear alongside The Boys alum.
The cast list for Justice League: War World is substantially more than that, with some famous actors sprinkled throughout. Troy Baker, a voice actor with such a famous personality for video games and the original Joel from The Last of Us, will be playing Jonah Hex, John DiMaggio will play Lobo, and Frank Grillo will play Agent Faraday.
The aspect of Grillo’s name is specifically intriguing given that his contribution in Creature Commandos, the DC Universe’s first animated project, has just recently been opened up. So it appears that the former antagonist from Captain America and the Winter Soldier has settled into a rather cosy home in the DC universe. The following is the plot summary for Justice League: Warworld: “Up until this point, the Justice League has been a loose association of superheroes. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the others must somehow work together to make an unstoppable resistance capable of guiding a full planet to freedom when they are taken to Warworld, a site of never-ending cruel gladiatorial conflict.
Justice League: War World hasn’t set a firm release date yet, but it appears that we won’t have to wait too long because it is expected to arrive this summer.
